In her work she is fond of layering different narratives together expressed through powerful visuals. Her films explore the interplay between personal and collective human experiences rooted in a socio-cultural milieu. She completed a year long fellowship at the Union Docs Collaborative studio 2020, New York. She is the co-director of the New Delhi chapter of Video Consortium, a global platform that unites and supports voices in documentary film and video journalism. Her present documentary in research and development was selected for the Interactions Doc programme, Serbia 2025. Her films have been on platforms like MUBI and DA films and travelled to various festivals,such as IAWRT, New Delhi,&nbsp; IDSFFK Kerala, Kochi-Muziris Biennale, PÕFF, and the Bangalore International Film Festival among others. Brair Kani (Cat’s attic) is her recent short film which had its premiere at the International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Kerala. A document written by the filmmaker’s grandfather traces the history of the house to shed light on its changing ownership. Through architectural elements and objects with embedded histories, the house comes alive with stories. Using the attic as a site of reflection, the film navigates the relationship between space, belonging and personal history. Inhabiting the confines of the attic, the house spirits exist simultaneously as carriers of collective memory and as manifestations of the emotional landscape. Characters—human, material and mythical—contribute to this temporal experience of the home, as the dilapidated attic stands witness to the lived and living experiences of its inhabitants. The past, present and future are bound by uncertainty as the different narratives create a space that transcends beyond the attic to address the larger themes of home as belonging.

The practice of Ittar is historically associated with Kannauj, Uttar Pradesh. Rich alluvial soil of the sacred Ganga gives Kannauj the fertility to cultivate an array of plants Gulab (Rose) , Motia (Jasmine) Mehndi, Khus.
